Hey Everybody,

I just seen Return to Mayberry last night on WGN and it was great to see it
again. I almost cry everytime Barney and Thelma Lou see each other in the
school with Barney in the clown suit and they hug each other and tell each
other how they have thought about and missed each other. BTW, my favorite
humorous poem on TAGS is the one about Barney. It goes like this: " There
once was a deputy name Fife, who had a gun and a knife, his gun got dusty
and his knife got rusty cause he never caught a crook in his life." Also I
think it was funny when Thelma Lou told Andy that Barney could not sing a
lick!

God Bless and Happy New Year!

Hey guys.
I rarley post on here so i just wanted to remind yall I am STILL here.
for those who don't know me....
My name is Michael Mitchell.....from Arrington TN. 19 years old and have
been an TAGS as far back as I can remember. The kind of fan who
can drive other people nuts by refering to TAGS through little things in
everyday
life.
anyway.....enough about me...I just wanted to let yall know, for those who
might not, that there is this AWESOME website called
                              www.liketelevision.com
You can watch FULL episodes in "Real Player" And I'm talking FULL. Every
single
moment from the original episode is on it. NOTHING is cut, such as they
annoyingly do on "NICK AT NIGHT" rrrggg...
but anyway, they even show something that I've never seen before. At the
opening credits scene of Andy and Opie walking.....when Opie throws the rock,
it shows a close up of the rock splashing into the lake. I've never seen
that!!! It was weird!
But anyway, just wanted to spread the news to those who've not heard.
Lots of luck to you and yours!
Michael

Subject: Andy Facts

I will be presenting "The Andy Trivia Game" to the Kroger company this
month. Does anybody have any compelling facts that I can give them to prove
to them that it will sell in their stores? Things like 2 million people
watch it everyday, it has never been off the air etc.

Any help??

Hey to you and yours out there!!! My name is Amy, 23yo who has been watching
TAGS since my father introduced me to it when I was about 8 years old. I
live just outside Memphis, TN, in Collierville. Not too many people know how
big a fan I am of the show. I guess, at my age, I figured they would think
it a little strange.
My favorite character, of course, is Barney-Parney-Poo. I am not too big a
fan of any color episodes, I feel they loose something knowing the color of
certain places and objects, but I still love to watch any episode. I think
my favorite is the great pickle fiasco. I just hope any future husband and
family will share in my great appreciation for the show and the longing to
live in a place like Mayberry!

Subject: Mayberry Question

Hi All,
I have a question regarding TAGS. Is Andy the Sheriff of the town of
Mayberry or is he the Sheriff of Mayberry County, NC, of which the town of
Mayberry is the County Seat. There are things said in some episodes which
make me think the latter is correct. If so, what other towns are in Mayberry
County, and are there any episodes in which Andy exercises his jurisdiction
in these other towns?

Just wondering
Mike K.

I caught bits and pieces of the Alfred Hitchcock Marathon and spotted a
number of TAGS folks, including Frances Bavier, Paul Hartman, Allan Melvin,
William Schallert (Quiet Sam) and David Lewis (Reverend Breen). Makes me
wonder how many more I would have seen if I'd had time to watch the whole
marathon. A lot of these actors also turn up in re-reuns of "The Twilight
Zone," another great old show.
