Hey All:
I was watching one of my favorite episodes of "Hogan's Heroes" over the
weekend, (For the Record) where the gang pretend to record Schultz singing in
order to secretly record a summit meeting, and lo and behold, the writer is
none other than our own Harvey Bullock.
Mr. Bullock, I truly enjoy seeing your name on any episodes of anything that
I watch, because I know it's gonna be a good'un.
Wish there were more shows like those on TV today.

My question is whose to say that Andy was not estimating Little Andy's
weight?
Another question is whose to say that Andy was correct?

Subject: Barney the Straight Man
The question was asked about whether Barney ever played the straight man.
Yep, everytime he stepped into a scene with Howard McNear. I don't know if
it was every really written that way or Howard just flat out stole any scene
he was in. A good example is Barney and his line of 3 deputies. Oh, sure,
it is Don yelling and waving his arms, but he is just feeding Howard the
straight lines.

Subject: Mistake in "Barney's First Car"
With all this talk about goofs in production, I thought
I'd mention one I"ve always noticed.
Has anyone ever seen the mistake in the sound editing in "Barney's First Car".
When all of them are driving past the Johnson's farm, opie asks, "Paw, will you
take me up there sometime"
Anday says sure, and then tells him that maybe Mr. Johnson would let him milk a
cow.
Right then, you hear Aunt Bee in the background say "Ooohh, wouldnt that be
nice!". The thing is though, you can see Aunt Bee behind Barney and she's not
moving her lips. She's looking out the window. haha. (its RIGHT when Barney
first notices the steering wheel going crazy).
Anyway, thought I'd mention that.
Lots of luck to you and yours.

Yo,
I know I've asked this before, but since there are so many new members since I
last
asked I thought I'd give it another shot - I am a novice banjo picker and would
love
to get the tablature for the TAGS theme (otherwise known as the "Fishin' Hole")
so if
anyone has it please drop me a note. I know there are other pickers on our
list that
would love to have it too, so if I ever get it I'll be glad to pass it on.

Whatever happened to Andy Taylor ,Jr. He was not mentioned in Return to
Mayberry. He must have suffered the same fate as Richie Cunningham's big
brother and one of the brother on My Three Sons.
Don't look back.

Does anyone know what brand cigarettes Andy smoked and can name all episodes
in which he smokes? I don't think it was more than a few. Any ideas, if he
smoke anyway, why he didn't smoke in more episodes?

Subject: Baby weights
When I was growing up Mama had a small scale much like the one at the
doctor's office on which to weigh the baby periodically to make sure it
was gaining properly. Even though we were poor I guess they made that
investment, knowing they were gonna' have a big family. I'm the oldest
of 7 children. When I think of boiling the bottles and sanitizing the
diapers compared to how easy it is today I marvel at my mother's
fortitude. I guess you always do what you have to do! Aunt Bee of

Hi All!
In the last post someone explained the meaning behind the words "Bread and
Butter" that Barney says when they walk on opposite sides of a tree.
I have never understood what Opie says to Andy and Andy replies to Opie in a
scene where Opie is leaving the courthouse (BARNEY'S SIDECAR) and Opie says
something like
"I be Seinia!"
and Andy replies something like
"See Ya So Mo!"
What are they saying and what are they talking about?

Ok, once again, I can't remember if this particular one has been mentioned, but
last night I watched the episode when Goober thought he had whiplash. At the
end,
Goober was rubbing Andy's shoulder and Andy had on his t-shirt. (One other
thing
I noticed that was a little surprising was that when Goob was being examined by
the doc and had his shirt off, Aunt Bee was in the room! Now, for people who
barely even walked around in their stocking feet, this was a little bit
shocking.
I guess it was ok since Aunt Bee was technically Goober's nurse throughout his
"illness".)

I agree with Aunt Bee in Ohio--is there a way to nominate/campaign for
someone to be considered for an Emmy lifetime achievement award? Don Knotts
got several very-deserved Emmy's but without Andy their wouldn't have been a
Barney! Andy sacrificed his character's limelight by allowing Barney to get
all the laughs, but it was a team effort! Throw in his many years on the
series "Matlock", and you've got quite a career! If anyone finds a way to
influence the powers that be in Hollywood, count me in!!

I grew-up int the inner-city, in the '50's. We had a back-door lock, but it
didn't work! And our 'spare' (secret) front door key hung under the storm
door closer!! Mayberry is closer than you think!
