Don't know the brand but they WERE ready-rolls. I remember candy cigarettes
too - they were tasty but hard to light.

Hey You All,
I just watched a really good one.. Andy arrests a woman speeding through
town with Floyd, Barney and little Opie as witnesses to her driving. The
woman Miss Crowley bribes all three of them not to witness against her. Andy
is horrified that all three witnesses, especially Barney go against him.
The ending is great as Miss Crowley comes clean and pays up her
fine..complimenting Barney as he looks like Frank Sinatra!!
Its a quarter to three, just you and me, gotta go now. Catch it next time
its a good one!!!!

YO,
In the episode where the temporary deputy (Bob
Rodgers) comes to town from the attorney generals
office to learn about law enforcement (I call it the
wbmutbb episode) At the very end Barney writes Bob a
ticket as he's getting ready to leave town, just to
teach him a lesson. I believe I saw Barney tear up the
ticket and then throw it on the ground! Did anybody
else notice this. If we were there we could have made
a citizens arrest ;)

Mayberry. He must have suffered the same fate as Richie Cunningham's big

Waaaait a minute: First, Andy Jr., then the Cunningham sibling...? Looks
like it's the kiss of death to be related to Ron Howard (on TV, at least --
but it makes ya wonder if Clint Howard isn't looking over his shoulder).
It's my understanding that Andy Jr. was conveniently "forgotten" (that is,
omitted) by the writers of "Return to Mayberry" since few people remembered
his birth on "Mayberry RFD." I think little Andy (who would've been a teen
during "Return") would've added a nice touch to the reunion movie,
though....

Did you catch the end of the episode where Barney writes a ticket for former
deputy Bob Rogers and then tears up the ticket. The amazing thing is that
after Barney tore up the ticket he threw it on the ground. Littering right in
front of the High Sheriff!
And take that gun outta your mouth!

Hey everybody. I just noticed in the episode "The Women Speeder" that Andy
and Barney pulled up in front of the courthouse from the left (looking at
the courthouse). Has that ever happened again. I do know Andy kidded
Barney about it one time, that he should give him a ticket for parking on
the wrong side of the road (when Barney came to visit in a color episode).
Just wondering. Horatio (Kevin)

We're never told the brand he smokes, but a long time ago I counted up the
number of episodes in which we see him smoking and there are about a dozen.
Had TAGS been sponsored by a tobacco company (the way "I Love Lucy" was) we
would no doubt have seen LOTS more smokers in Mayberry, and I'd bet money
they would all have smoked the same brand!
Of course, all of this was back before the Surgeon General issued warnings
about the dangers of smoking. When the warnings first came out (about 1964,
I think it was) Andy Griffith quit smoking in real life, and his character
apparently quit at the same time.

IDEA: Maybe a bunch of us really down
to earth Mayberry fans could form our on little community to retire in
wouldn't that be nice?
Actually, I think that would be PERFECT. I'll put in my two cents to get
the town built. LOL

I happened to catch a few scenes from Hans Christian Andersen, an old Danny
Kaye movie yesterday. Danny (Hans) and another character are walking down
this road when they walk around a tree, one on each side. As soon as Hans
notices the tree, he backs up, says "bread and butter" and walks around the
tree on the same side as the other character.

This is in response to "wrigley" wondering what Andy and Opie are saying to
each other along about episode number 63, i believe...
Opie is saying "Abbysinia" and Andy replies: "See ya Samoa"....
Which, I believe "Abbysinia" and "Samoa" are countries... anyway, translated
into " I'll be seein' ya" and "See ya some more"....
"I believe we got her if she don't jump"

When I was a kid, my folk's cut my hair, in the conventional 'chili-bowl'
style. After I got my first job, I headed straight for my first 'real'
haircut. My barber, Searcy, used Rose Water, massaged my scalp (with the big
ol' vibrator they used to use), guaran-teed nap-time, every haircut!
Searcy was my very own Floyd Lawson.
See Ya' Samoa!
