<< I was thinking there may have been 4 bedrooms upstairs in the Taylor House
but maybe somebody can indeed narrow it down to 3.
There's Andy's room, there's Aunt Bee's room, there's Opie's room and I think
there must be another room used as a guest room. I know everyone doubled up
with Nora and Ollie brought the boys for a visit but I don't think Otis
stayed in Andy or Opie's room when Aunt Bee was the Warden...>>

The Taylor's home had 4 bedrooms in most episodes, 3 when it was more
convenient for the script ...such as when Opie was overjoyed when our man in
a hurry, Malcolm Tucker decided to stay overnight and sleep in his room,
thereby allowing Opie to sleep "adventure style" on an ironing board between
two chairs. In "Aunt Bee the Warden" and "Gomer the Houseguest", there was
definitely a 4th bedroom and/or separate guest room.

Dixon:
I saw this in watching an interview with Howard Morris. I was surprised
when they spoke to him of his directing. I thought he was such a humble
person who did not have much nice to say about Aunt Bee. Not really NOT
nice, just that she was extremely difficult with which to work and nothing
like her character. Has anyone else heard differently? Andy Griffith
verified this information. I suppose whichever, she still did a great job.

Ain't that the gospel truth? This past weekend I saw 'Ben Weaver' in the
musical "State Fair" as one of the big-time hog judges. BTW there was a
wonderful scene during the canned goods judging that reminded me of the
pickle episode...perhaps the writers took a few cues from it.

Subject: early Andy memories

Being born in 1959, I really don't remember watching when the show
debuted. My first memories must have been at about age 4 and watching
'Andy of Mayberry' on daytime tv. I have a very vivid memory of being
inside on a snowy day waiting for my older sister to come home for lunch
(for you youngsters out there, many school children trekked home for
their noon meal!) Anyways, I was looking out the window wondering when
my sis would be showing up and my daddy said "Not for a while, come over
here and watch Andy & Opie with me." So my first recollection of
watching TAGS was on my daddy's knee in his beat-up recliner. Now I sit
in my own beat-up recliner and watch those same shows. All is right with
the world! (as long as I have TVLand! :-))

Hello Andy Fans,
Can I ask a question many will know? Who was the first Floyd? I saw him
in the episoed where the visitor knew everyone because he had taken their
home paper. Also was that a different Wally? And did the stranger buy the
gas station? If so he must have sold it to Goober. Thanks for your help.

Mayberry greetings from a fellow band director! Yes, Andy did play another
instrument - the trombone. As I recollect, he got his start in church music
- - a Moravian trombone choir, I believe. (Might be wrong about that part,
though.) Lots o' luck to you and your band!

I don't trust him Andy, and you know why?

    a. A guy moves into town.
    2. He has no job; and
    c. He wants to marry Mrs. Bendelmright.

Barney, you're gassed!

that Andy actually played an instrument (other than guitar). Barney
trying to play the cymbals is about as funny as his singing!

Didn't Andy Griffith receive a degree in music and literature from the
university of North Carolina? I do remember Andy Griffith making records in
the early 60's.

Subject: Andy Love Charlene

Since we've been discussing the possibility of Charlene being Andy's darling
person, I sensed that Andy was indeed attracted to Charlene. She was a real
cutie and had a great personality, could sing and had an impressive dowry
(boulders, etc). None of the other girls had a dowry. Also, his stomach
muscles tightened up when he was around her. Charlene thought he was as
pretty as a pink rose and strong as a tree. That would shake-up any southern
gentleman. Remember too that when Andy told Briscoe that Charlene made him
nervous, she wisely said "That's love". But..... I think Andy was
thinking ahead about having Briscoe as his father-in-law - and all those
bright, energetic brothers-in-law he would have inherited. It's enough to
make a person want to drink mulberry squeezins...

Hey everybody,

I've got a question that has probably been answered before but I either
wasn't a member then or missed it (which is entirely possible!). Here it
is...

How many times did Barney accidently fire his gun into the floor or ceiling
or wherever?

Thanks in advance...
