Even though it is illegal to sell copyrighted material, would there be anything wrong with someone providing the materials to someone to make a copy? For example, is it legal for me to provide someone with enough video tapes to copy the tapes they already have of, say, the first 25 episodes? If no, is it still OK if I pay this person for their time? Anyway, that's about all that's on my mind right now. Last night while watching the episode where Barney becomes a realtor, I realized the guy that plays Mr. Williams (the owner of the faulty house with the big trees that Andy always admired) is also the same guy who played the father of the spoiled kid, Arnold, who kept riding his bike on the sidewalk, and made a trip to the "good old fashioned woodshed out back" behind the courthouse. Also have noticed that since TVLand shows epilogs now, that many fine moments are cut, besides Barney's "Giraffes sure are selfish" schtick, they cut out the "Pipe down 3, I think I've heard enough about that tomato" line from the episode where he deputizes Otis, Goober, & Jud. I just recently read a book about the Andy Griffith show and it made me remember many happy hours watching the show with my folks when I lived at home. My personal opinion is that TAGS was the best sitcom... anywhere... ever. I just find it refreshing to watch an entire episode where I can fall out of my seat laughing and not have to worry about vulgar language and sexual inuendos coming up. Besides the talent level was way higher than on any of today's sitcoms. To connect with the show a little bit, I am from West Virginia, very near Morgantown, where Don Knotts is from, and in fact, my grandfather went to high school with Don, though he doesn't remember him.
