She is in a lot of background scenes, but she never speaks and I don't recall that she is ever in the choir. Somehow, I have an impression that she may be the wife of one of the production members--but this is merely an impression based on the fact that she is so attractive and appears often without ever getting credit (that I know of). If you have the "Mayberry Memories" book, turn to page 27 for a faint glimpse of her. She is the last lady coming out of the cell, right behind Tom Jacobs and the two men in gray hats. In this episode where Barney arrests the entire town, Andy calls her Nellie and compliments her on the pretty dress she is wearing. I think he says something like, "Hey, Nellie, that's a nice (pretty?) dress you're wearing." But then you know me and my quotes. During the Newton Monroe show she and her "husband" were about to buy some Chinese bowls when Andy and Barney show up and stop the sale. In the Barney wants to find a wife for Andy episode, she walks by Barney and Thelma Lou on the street and Thelma Lou says hello to her. Her name is--if memory serves me correctly--something rather old-fashioned like AnnaBelle. Barney is about to write it down as a prospect for Andy when Thel tells him she is married. Then, Barney sees Andy and Helen walking down the street and, he gets Thelma Lou to invite those two to dinner. And, as they say, the rest is history. I've had many guesses about this lady, but alas no one but me seems to really notice her. People usually guess a lady in the choir, but as I've said, she never sang. So, happy hunting and good luck. This was the good old days and it blew her against the wall, blew the kitchen window out and created a minor fire that was put out by two other adults that were at home.
