I'm probably telling you something that you already know, but were you aware
that the man that played the game warden was the same person that announces
the show in the opening credits? He's the guy that say's, "The Andy Griffith
Show..... starring Andy Griffith.... with Don Knotts and Ronny Howard." You

I wanted to let everyone know that there is a mint matched set of Andy &
Barney Bobbin' Head dolls on Ebay. There was only 1000 of these made and
these are both numbered 880 and signed by the person that produced them. I
am selling these for a friend who has fell upon hard times and has to get rid
of a few of his collectibles. I have these in my possession, so if you have
any questions, you can e-mail me directly at the e-mail address below. To
view the auction online, go to this address:

Thanks for the info. I also own a set of bobble heads. On my very first trip
to Mayberry Days (I think it was in 1995) I saw a set and if I'm not mistaken
I paid $29 for the set. I was looking for something special. Looks like I made
a good choice! And a good investment but I don't think Icould bear to part
with mine. Good Luck on your bidding & Thanks.

I have given a lot of thought to a solution to help Barney and Andy fix
the problem with Earnest T. Bass throwing rocks through people's
windows. Maybe if Barney and Andy had gotten him started painting the
rocks and letting him see how nice they look, he wouldn't want to throw
them at windows anymore. If they had done that, maybe it would have
started a whole new career for Earnest. Helen had a chance to help
Earnest express his artistic ability when she had him in her class. She
chose to continue her lessons about grammer and math.

Hi, y'all!

Just had to share something that happened in church this morning. Our music
minister is trying to start a new choir, and was asking folks to sign up
after the service. He went on to say that musical knowledge isn't a
prerequisite, and you really don't even have to sing all that well. As an
example, he told us that his wife was joining up. The kicker was when he
told us, "And I love her to death, she's the love of my life and the mother
of my kids, but...she can't sing! Not a lick!" Well, my husband and I
about fell over laughing. It was a nice TAGS moment.

I'm going to see if we can't scrub off good ol' 14A to get things going next
Sunday!

I noticed someone mentioned Barney trying to memorize the preamble of the
constitution on the TAGS digest. My wife & I was watching this episode the other
nite & we were laughing out loud!!!This episode is not only so funny but it
also displays Andy Griffith&Don Knotts fabulous comedy chemistry! It's kind of
strange that every time I see this episode I can never remember what happens
after this classic scene with Andy&Barney, all I can picture in my mind is Andy
feeding Barney the words & Barney (with his hair a mess & his face
distorted)repeating what he hears Andy say!I get tickled just thinking about
it!I think this is why TAGS lost a lot of it's magic after Don Knotts left the
series!They were awsome together!!!

One of my favorite Barney facial expressions is when he got the chain letter.
He stuck his head in the courthouse and said to Andy, "Did you mail that
letter? I don't wanna know!"

Hey Al, Maybe because Henry Bennett was in their boat the Dust Bowl hit;
"Come crops come, Sam's at the gate with a frosted cake!" Maybe they should
have dropped him off in Iowa or somewhere to avoid his jinxing qualities...

Does anyone know the name of the song/artist at the end of the episode "A
Date for Gomer" with Mary Grace? It is the scene when Andy, Helen, Barney
and Thelma Lou come back to Thelma Lou's house and find Gomer and Mary Grace
dancing.

My favorite Barney expression is when he argues with Andy on what to do about
Ernest T. Bass and his "education".Barney insists on taking ETB out back to
work him over, and Helen says " he'd kill ya".The look on barney's face is
hysterical.Another favorite is when Andy is helping Barney with the pre-amble
to the constitution and when they finish Barney looks at Andy and says " I
got it " with a smug look on his face, it's classic.
