I loved the Mayberry moment with the two teachers and Horatio!! You're
right--if I had been there I would have laughed so hard and really enjoyed
your comment. I know what you mean about blank stares when you fit something
into a conversation from TAGS. I get them too. But I can't help but say
lines from the show when they fit the situation. I love when that happens. I
find myself---even when I'm alone---if something happens to fit the situation,
there I am quoting TAGS and laughing my head off. Thanks for reminding me
about that Horatio episode. It's really one of my favorite lines ---POOR
HORATIO!! I can see little Opie saying that right now.

Is there a good pinochle player/TAGS fan out there? I play
on-line regularly at Yahoo. I'd love to find a good regular
partner. It would make the game even more fun. I usually
play early AM and late PM using the name pxc55 ("Patsy X.
Cline"--I didn't know her midle initial.) Contact me and
let's try to hook up.
Sorry if this isn't strictly fan email, but at least I'm not
trying to sell anything! After all, what would a New York
shoe salesman being doing all they way down here in
Mayberry?
Happy Easter to you all.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this one, but
he "appeared" on 'The Flintstones' as an absent-minded
doctor once. As the voice, of course. What do you think
I am, nave? I know the score.

I can think of a few more times when Barn had a snoot full....
A)The Mrs. Bendlemite.... Mrs. Mendlebrite epsidoe. :)
2)When he was eating the preserves from the Morrison sisters.
C) When he was drinking while setting in the living room at the Taylors,
when Opie was fixin' to sign the papers to marry Andylina. :)
I'm sure there were more..... :)

To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Howdy,
Being held prisoner of war up here in New Jersey, and reading with some
jealousy of the Knoxville parade and TAGSRWC participation, I got to
wondering...
Are there ever any TAGS-related events in the Northeast? If there are, I
miss them. I keep watching the Lincoln Center schedule and don't see
anything there. I guess I'm just going to have to pack up one week and come
back down south. But if anybody knows of things happening north of the Mason
and Dixon line and east of Indiana, I'd sure appreciate knowing about them.
Or, even if anybody knows where to get a good pork chop sandwich in or around
the New York City area, I'd appreciate knowing that, too.
Thanks,
...Alan (I came to fill my vase!)

I remember watching TV Land one time when they did a "Mystery Facts" about
TAGS and said that although Andy and Barney are cousins it was only talked
about one time and that was when Barney was hired, well I seen today on
"Runaway Kid", Episode #4.
when Barn was trying to give Andy a fine for parking in front of the fire
hydrant in front of the office.
Just thought it was a fun fact to have.

I'll be brief (pleasant surprise). Barney got gassed in FIVE episodes - just
like it says on the back of his watch. (1) Barney & the Governor's car (2)
Otis Sues the County (3) Up in Barney's Room (4) Keeper of the Flame (5)
The Darling Baby (even if it was just mulberry squeezins). That's all I have
to say on the subject of E-knee-bre-ation.

"I also found it funny if not poetic justice. Did I miss a part about
the bear escaping from a circus or zoo? I ask because the bear in that
scene looks like a Sun Bear (from the patch on the chest) and they are
only found in Southeast Asia."
My husband and I run a bear hunting guide service in central Minnesota.
Two years ago one of our hunters shot a black bear with a beautiful
white patch on his chest - - so unless he travelled here from Asia, God
makes 'em that way in Minnesota too!
Just received an order from Weaver's Dept. Store - I can now drink my
tea out of my very own Barney Fife mug. My kidz have been running
around for the last 2 days saying "nip it, nip it!" and I can't wait for
warmer weather to wear my new Barney T-shirt. I also plan on taking my
3 kidz to N. St. Paul this summer for the Mayberry Days car festival
there - we're all excited about it!!

The mandolin player's name is Frank Sullivan. Don't ask me how I
remember that, but I do. (Maybe it's because he's a real
cutie-petutie!) Anyway, if there is a new album coming out, I'd like to
get it too.
For anyone who hasn't been to Mayberry Days and seen the Doug Dillard
band "live and in person", you need to get out and see them. They are a
real treat.

Subject: Colour Episodes
Date: Mon, 1 Apr 2002 02:33:28 -0500
Dear TAGS friends: After reading what "Mary in a small town in Canada" had to
say about getting access to the colour episodes, I, "Sallie from a big city in
Canada" am wondering if I can get them as well. During much of the late 60's
and 70's, I was living in a situation where TV was not available so I missed
many shows during those years. Fortunately, I had fallen in love with
Mayberry back in the B/W glory days. I now have access to TVLand which shows
only the B/W ones and one of the Buffalo, N.Y. channels that shows different
B/W episodes... but the colour ones I have never seen -- and, of course, I
would love to see them! Anyway, if anyone can help me in this regard, I would
be very grateful,
Bread and butter (just in case)! Miz Sallie.
