More foreign country referrences:
1) Even if Russia wasn't mentioned in "Barney Hosts a Summit Meeting" (I
don't remember if that is the case or not), I think we all know that
"Vasiliyevich" and party were Russian.
2) Ireland is mentioned when Ernest T. declares war on the Malcolm
Merriweather, the "Englishter".
3) In "A Feud is a Feud", Andy mentions that he was in France during the
war.
4) And, let's not forget Goober discussing the Monroe Doctrine (one of the
most important doctrines in our history), which would cover all of the
Western Hemisphere, but of course not specifically by name.
I also think Andy mentioned "It-lee" at least once, although I don't remember
the episode. Am I wrong on this one?
Perhaps there are more?

I believe at the time of TAGS the sales tax was about 3% and was not on food,
as well as I recall, or at least prepared food. All that has changed!!
I got to see all of Howard on his island last night and though it was a great
show and had a great lesson. No matter what our situation we always thing
things will be better somewhere else, but when we get there we find out it is
not what we had envisioned and long to be back where we are. Hopefully before
we start to sit around and tear off strips of newspaper!!

O: You go out Route 22 . . . past Waynesboro, Midville, Thornedike, Upson .

B: A little slower, please. . .
O: Through Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio . . .
B: (to Andy) He's making for Canada!!!
O: Then back through West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee into Mayberry on
Route
10 . . . (pause)
B: Where then?
O: To Elm Street, 4 -1 - 1 Elm Street.
B: I got it!!! I got it!!! Come on, let's go. Let's get the axes!!!
A: Go where?
B: Well, where he said, 411 Elm Street. (returns to "sleeping" Otis) Thank
you very much!
A: Hey Barney, don't that address sound a little familar to you?
B: Familiar? Hou could it sound familiar!!! He just now told it to me,
right
this very second . . .
Wait a minute. 411 Elm Street? That's where I live!!!
A: Maybe his sub-conscious took a wrong turn in Ohio.
O: The owner of the still is Barney Fife, yeah, Barney Fife.
B: Now, that' not funny, Otis!!!
A: Hey, that 's a fine system you got there Barney. You ought to write a
book
on it . . . call it the Barney Fife Sub-conscious Prober Primer.
B: Alright, Otis, just for that . . .out . . .out!!!
O: Oh, Barney . . .
B: Get all your stuff and come on!

B: (to Andy) And as for you deputy, why don't you just take this chalk and go
out and mark some cars!
