Thanks to everyone who reminded me it was Gilley Walker's car Goober took
apart. I have been corrected before by trained noticers and have no excuse for
my poor memory! But... I do think it was Early Gilley's convertible Goober
borrowed for the potato queen to ride in! If we add that to Ms. Gossage's,
that's 4 times. Paul,
(or anyone) can you think of others?

Early's pal,
Flora

If I remember correctly, I can think of 3 times

Hey all, I too saw Howard McNear on the Donna Reed Show; it was on last Sat.
morning here. His characters name was Wilbur Wilgus and he gave his wife a
meat slicer for their anniversary. It was a treat to see him on there. Also,
the lady who was Donna Reed's husband's secretary was Andy's Aunt Nora,
married to Uncle Ollie. I THINK I have those names right. Also, the oval
window was discussed a while back; I don't think anyone mentioned seeing it
in the movie "Ghost & Mr. Chicken". It was in the organ loft of the Simmons
mansion. I loved watching that movie as a kid; it was fun to be scared & you
knew everything would be alright because "Barney" was in the movie. BTW, I
was born the same year as Ron Howard.

Every year, when the Catholic church next door has their picnic, we have a
backyard cookout at the same time. After everyone eats I usually break out
the ol' git-box and play a few songs. This year's party was especially fun
because my daughter helped me sing "Dooley" and "Ole Dan Tucker!" Man, I
felt just like Ange singing a song with Opie! We did as many TAGS tunes as I
was able to fake my way through.

Does anyone know of any music books made up entirely of TAGS songs?

I was headed out to lunch yesterday when I passed this truck carrying a car.
Would you believe it was a squad car replica? I don't know what it was
doing around here or where it was going, but it sure made my day.

Hey, did you see Mr. Goss as a taxi driver on Leave It To Beaver last night?
I guess that's how he saved up to by the cleaners.

I saw Fred Goss working as a cab driver in an episode of Leave it to Beaver
last night.....Guess the cleaning business didn't work out...

Also, I heard a reference to alcohol last night I had not remembered. This
was the episode where Warren arrests the entire ladies auxiliary for gambling
(they are playing bingo). When they were applying for the permit to hold the
bazaar, Warren asks if any alcoholic beverages will be sold on the
premises. Why would he ask that in a dry town?

Regarding front porch scenes: Does anyone remember one time the folks were
sitting on the porch and it was very quiet, but then Andy stirred up the
neighborhood by barking like a dog?....It got all the dogs in the
neighborhood to start barking.......When we were in Mt. Airy, my wife and
daughter and spent the night in Andy's old house (Now Andy's Place - the Bed
& Breakfast) and I stood on the front porch and barked like a dog.....My
daughter (one year old at the time) just laughed up a storm, and, sure
enough, a couple of dogs did bark back.....
