I don't think they showed the Courthouse when the Taylor's were in Hollywood,
did they? At least not the inside?

Regarding John's letter about the contents of his squad car trunk:

John - Ain't you got a jack??

You need a rake in the trunk too.....(Barney "As for emergency equipment, do
you know what our Sheriff keeps in the trunk of his car? A shovel and a
rake!")

Oh, and I'd give her a good wash too.........

Amen Allan!!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Mr. Griffith has given us many, many
years of enjoyment. The very least we can do is respect his privacy.

Subject: "Mayberry in the Midwest" Update
Date: Wed, 31 Jul 2002 10:16:38 -0500

Hello everyone! I just wanted to thank and update everyone on "Mayberry in
the Midwest" weekend held July 19-20 in New Castle. It was an outstanding
weekend with absolutely great performances from George Lindsey, Betty Lynn,
Howard Morris, Maggie Peterson, Doug Dillard, Rodney Dillard, Mitch Jayne,
Dean Webb, and James Best. Of course David Browning, Allan Newsome and
Kenneth Junkin were at their usual comedic best. To sum it up we all had the
time of our lives and I hope you did also. Special thanks go out to all the
people involved in one way or another in helping make this event a reallity.
We have pictures from the event on our website mayberryinthemidwest.com
and the website is updated every couple weeks so check and see if you can find
yourself at the Arts Park or Autograph session or the Reunion Show. If you
were unable to attend the event you can get a feel for all the fun we had.
Thanks again to everyone!

It's nice to know that Barney always had his Mr. Cookie Bar for his sugar
pick-me-up. Recently, Nabisco has come out with 'Chips Ahoy Cookie Barz' and
'Oreo Cookie Barz.' They come packaged at six 1.23 ounce bars in a box. They
are also sold individually wrapped.
Don Knotts probably would have appreciated a couple during his trip from Los
Angeles to Morgantown, West Virginia for his 60th high school reunion. When
'Mayberry Days' comes up on September 26-28, different folks will need
varying amounts of these cookie bars depending on the length of their trip.
Allan could probably take along about two boxes for his road trip. Folks from
around Indiana would likewise need about two boxes. With a 16 1/2 hour drive
one way, Paul might have to bring at least three boxes. Personally, with a
seven hour drive, I could get by on just one box.

Well, come on now. Don't give him my Mr. Cookie Bar. I'll want that for
later. -Barney Fife

The episode that Gomer runs the contest at the gas station was just on TV Land
last night. Right before the show, the announcer did say it was the last
episode that Floyd was in.

Congratulations TAGS fans! This year TAGS has been ranked number 9 in the
T.V. Guide critics poll and number 9 in the fans' poll. This happened because
we all banded together and voted for our beloved show. 36,000,000 Andy fans
can't be wrong!

Subject: Don Knotts Scooby Doo Cel

Hi Everyone,

I am selling an animation cel of Don Knotts from "The New Scooby Doo Movies"
on Ebay. I hate to get rid of it, cause it's a really cool piece, but I am
broke. I hope it's ok to use this forum to announce this. Anyway, you can
check it out at:

Thanks,

Jason

P.S. This cel is from "The Spooky Fog of Juneberry"
