The Oakboro Music Hall in Oakboro, N.C. will be having Mayberry Night with
David "The Mayberry Deputy" Browning, Phil "Ernest T." Fox, and Jeff "Howard
Sprague" Branch on hand to create the Mayberry feel. Jeff's band, Bluegrass
Special, will be on hand as the Darlins. It should be a wonderful night of
comdey and music. Tickets are available by calling the Oakboro Music Hall (704
485-2112).

Greetings,
Last night while watching the Howard and the perfect game I had to laugh as
I'm a huge bowling fan I've been bowling since 1978 and carry a 194 average
and have never had a perfect game although I have had what they call the Andy
Varapapa 300 which is the last six strikes in one game and the next six the
in the next game. And like Howard they used to post in the newspapers here in
the 1980's anyone who threw a 300.

I agree with Allan that we need to respect Andy's privacy. He has given all of
us so much laughter and good thoughts and fun over the years, we can pay him
back by letting him enjoy his privacy now.

At first when I read what Allan wrote about Andy, I was taken aback, but when
you think about it, Andy Griffith is not Andy Taylor. I guess when you get as
involved in the show as we are, it is easy to lose sight of that. It's good
enough to know that Andy Griffith does know what a profound affect his
character - and all the actors on the show - had on so many lives.
