Glad to hear that the show is excellent. I will be driving 4 1/2 hours
from Greensboro, NC to Myrtle Beach, SC to see the show on Oct 26 and I
cant hardly wait. I have had my tickets since Jan and we are in the third
row center. I have been anticipating this all year. I am also excited
about seeing the Doug Dillard band play Friday night. I always drive up to
Mt Airy on Sat for Mayberry Days but this will be the first time that I
have gotten to hear them play.

Sunday my wife, mother in law, and myself had the privilege to attend a Tim
Conway Don Knotts show in Sandusky, Ohio. You all need to watch your
regional
theatre listings to attend this show if possible. We drove 2 !/2 hrs. at it
was worth it all. When Don Knotts walked on stage he got an ovation that
brought a lump to my throat. Excellent show!!

Yes, Paul, I have this tape (i.e. Barney's Blunders). Actually it's my
mom's and she loaned it to me. She's a prince, a real prince. Maria

>>>Here is a list of episodes on each tape. Hope this helps...

Vol. 18: BARNYS BLUNDERS
-146. The Lucky Letter
-148. Barney Runs For Sheriff
-211. A Visit To Barney Fife
-240. Barney Hosts A Summit Meeting
>>>

Does anybody actually have this tape? It appears on the
official list, but
I don't know if they ever actually produced it or not. I did
get a tape
CASE with those titles listed, but the tape inside the box has
different
episodes on it.

I received that as my final (20th) tape, with the correct, as listed episodes.

I CAN'T STAND IT...I'm not going to Mayberry Days this weekend, nor have I
ever been. I've been an Andy fan for my entire life, but only recently came
upon the world of fellow Andy lovers. So, that means that I've never even
known about Mayberry Days before. I'm not going this year, but you can bet
your sweet bippy that I'll be there next year.

To all of you who are going...enjoy it a little extry for me...I'll see ya
there next year.

Love to all of you...

Yes, Paul, I have that tape. Sounds like they just made a mistake in your
case (literally and figuratively). Call CH's customer service and tell them
about it. In other words, "Call the man!" (or woman).

Subject: Harvey Bullock at a Gomer Glance
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

In addition to the 31 scripts that Harvey Bullock wrote for TAGS, he also
wrote the unfilmed script "The Wandering Minstrel.' It was supposed to be in
the 1962-1963 T.V. season, but was never used. It would have been very early
in that season because the character of Peggy is included.(Read 'The Andy
Griffith Show' book by Richard Kelly for the complete story).
Harvey also wrote 22 episodes of 'Gomer Pyle USMC.' They are:
5 Gomer Learns a Bully
8 Gomer and the Dragon Lady
21 Daughter of the Sarge
22 Officer Candidate Gomer Pyle
30 Gomer the MP
32 Third Finger, Left Loaf
36 Supply Sergeants Never Die
49 Arrividerci Gomer
59 Desk Job for a Sergeant
62 Crazy Legs Gomer
68 The Borrowed Car
93 Corporal Carol
102 The Prize Boat
104 Change Partners
117 Gomer and the Night Club Comic
119 And Baby Makes Three
121 Car for Sale
125 Just Move Your Lips, Sergeant
127 A Marriage of Convenience
136 Win-A-Date
139 Dynamite Diner
145 Proxy Papa

Percentage wise, Harvey wrote 12% of TAGS episodes and 15% of 'Gomer Pyle
USMC' episodes.
Sorry if I went off on a 'Gomer' tangent, but I wanted everybody to see
Harvey from a 'Gomer' perspective. Thanks!

Yes, Paul, I got that tape, but I had to call and specifically ask for
that volume to be sent. Columbia House sent the wrong one (Lawman Barney)
but I sent it back, called them again, and they finally sent the right
one, so my collection is complete.

Many thanks to Russ Thomas for his report about the Don Knotts/Tim Conway
show that he and his kinfolk recently saw. I'm greatly looking forward to
seeing these two giants of comedy together this Saturday at the Horseshoe
Casino in Tunica, Mississippi. The show is SOLD OUT, and should be a good
one! The only bad part is, me and my beloveded Charlene won't be able to
attend Mayberry Days because of the schedule conflict. But we'll DANG sure
be there next year!

I'll see ya.

I have every TAGS tape produced by Co-
lumbia House-- this one is held up-- I'm
told-- because of copyright reasons. An-
other reason you only see the OLD B&W ep-
isodes (except from Columbia House) sold.
I sure wish more folks would order the
tapes-- they're G-R-E-A-T-- so the'd make
MORE!
Absolutely my finest tapes-- whether B
&W or color-- love 'em all!

Members, put on your thinking caps!

I have a question I need explained to me after watching the Aunt Bee get
a freezer. If you recall, Aunt Bee's old freezer was making the lights go
funny along with other things like the TV. At this point Opie comes
running into the kitchen says something to the effect "the picture is
going crazy and the TV is falling down the steps". Now, I for the life
of me, what does Opie mean by the statement the TV is falling down the
steps? This is baffling to my wife and me. Any explanation would be
interesting to us.

THANKS!

Les and Jeannie
