I got the same email about Ernest T & Creetcher and my scanner wiped it out.
So be careful.
Most times they are unententential infections so it is a good idea to
have virus protection.

   Take care Pandora

Howdy beloved

Like Mike, I too received an email "fw: Earnest T. Bass" and it has a really
nasty virus attached called "W32/Bugbear...." which is a MEAN'UN! I tell ya
what...use protection folks! Keep your antivirus software up to date! It's
cheap and well worth it. Now keep in mind that your antivirus software will
not protect you from selfish giraffes.....now ye have a good day!

Greetings,
I just got a cell phone and as I recall someone said they can program the
TAGS theme song for the phone's ring. If so can you contact me privately at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] as it would be appreciated and sure would like to see
people's responses when my phone rings with the theme song.
Thanks,

OK, Nobody has tried to name the times Barney surprised Andy at his own
house, (my question of the other day) so I'll start myself. (do I sound
like Barney)

#80 High Noon at Mayberry--Andy is surprised by "The Mayberry knot-tying
club"-(Actually Barney's posse sneaking around as Andy's body guards when
they think Luke Comstock is going to harm him)

#92 A Wife for Andy--Barney surprises Andy by having several ladies show up
for him to look them over as potential wives.

#123 The Fun Girls--At least he comes through the front door a few seconds
before this surprise, Barney brings the fun girls over for dates for he and
Andy since the girls are upset with them and go to the dance with Gomer and
Goober.

#125 The Rumor--Barney starts the rumor that Andy and Helen are getting
married. He, Aunt Bee, and Thelma Lou plan a surprise party and decorate
Andy's room.

#148 Barney Runs for Sheriff--Barney holds a meeting at Andy's house and
surprises him with his "Civic Delegation" to plan a write-in campaign for
Andy

Are there any more "Surprise Surprise Surprise's" from Barney at Andy's
House???

Now to the other questioner and this partial answer about Mayberry
Celebrations or Special Occasions, let me add the missing episode names/
numbers & a few thoughts.

>I remember there being a surprise party for Barney after he caught Eddie
>Brooks. It took place at the Taylor house.
That would be #30 Barney gets him Man

>There was the "Mayberry Guest of Honor" for Founders' Day where Mr. Moody
>acted "rotten". That would be #53 "Guest of Honor"

>There was a celebration when Otis was found to be a relative of Nathan
Tibbs.
That would be #25 "A Plaque for Mayberry"

>There was the surprise party for Andy and Helen ( along with the
redecorated
>bedroom) when Barney thought they had gotten married. (#125 The Rumor)

>Then there was the birthday party for Otis during " The Inspector "
episode.
                        #26 The Inspector

Other Celebrations included about any time the Darling were on they were
celebrating a Marriage (Wedding Mountain Style) a Divorce (Divorce Mountain
Style #121) or an Engagement.

Also a distinguished guest also merited a celebration such as #31 The Guitar
Player returns and #234 Aunt Bee's cousin.

In Sermon for Today #100 they work hard to create their own special occasion
(a band concert)

In #138 The Pageant, they celebrate the Centennial of Mayberry

In #172 The Cannon, they celebrate Founders Day with the "Mobile Museum" and
dignitaries

OK now, when you give us credit in that book, be sure and spell our names
right. That's Fife F I V E.

I was just wondering. This question may have already been posted
before, so I apologize if that is the case, but I need an answer.
Now, I'm an avid fan of The Andy Griffith Show. I have bought all of
the DVDs that are out and available. However, I've noticed that the
new trend in DVDs is putting out full seasons, one by one. Some of
the "Season DVDs" that have been put out are good shows and some are
not. It just seems to me that The Andy Griffith Show would have been
one of the first "Season DVDs" to be out on the market. Maybe there
are some legalities that I am unaware of. I don't know. Does anyone
feel the same way I do? How can we make this happen?

Hi gang...
Just got a partial email from a "donna" with a few lines about ernest T. bass
and creechter...DON'T OPEN IT...My virus protection zapped it quick with a
virus warning. If the sender is reading this, be sure to clean your system
before sending out emails. You can even do a free virus scan online at
antivirus.com, but if you don't have one, get a virus protection program.
There is a great free one at grisoft.com....Mike Peacock

Hi Mike,
I got that e-mail too (strange huh?) and like you my virus protection caught
it so watch out wbmutbb members, someone is not being very nice out there.

To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

The name Opie is actually the initials O.P. which stand for Oliver Pendyke.
The show's writers decided that was a goofy name for a little boy so they
shortened it to O.P. which finally became Opie.

Ok, I made that up. I have no earthly idea where the name Opie comes from.
