All this talk about dishes makes me wonder if there is any Mayberry
dinnerware available. Scenes from Mayberry would make a beautiful set. Of
course I have all TAGS plates, but those aren't "eatin' " dishes. Forgive me if
this has already been discussed-I am a relatively new member, (although a
lifelong fan).

The ladies were using the pins for making costumes.

That's an easy question Laverne....Ms. Mendlebright
wouldn't allow the hot plate!!! Remember "No children,
No pets, No cooking, No vacancies."

Mayberry says thanks and happy motoring!!

Will somebody tell Barney I saw Gilley Walker doing 45 out on Turner's
Grade? All that boy does is speed, speed, speed.

dan

Hey Dan, I think they must have caught Gilley. I was flipping through the
channels and saw Gilley, (although they were calling him by another name), in
what looked like some sort of prison. It had a fence all around it, with
barbed wire. Odd thing though, the people in charge looked to be Germans. Goes
to show you that driving fast causes more than just headaches for Gomer and
Goob!

Subject: The Whistler

Saturday morning on NPR Weekend Edition, Scott Simon talked with
professional whistler Robert Stemmons. The 3 minute Real Audio file is at

www.npr.org/ramfiles/wesat/20021102.wesat.14.ram

Scott tries his hand with our favorite TV theme song and Mr. Stemmsons shows
why he is a professional after whistling another portion of it.

Hey all,

Here is a question I have always been curious about. In the episode the Cow
Thief, when Andy and Barney notice Luke (Jensen)sp? (you think he is related
to Mr.. O'Malley?) that's not my question, me real question is when Barney
sees Luke he says "Yep, bad penny's back." or something like that.

What exactly does he call him and what does it mean? Is it referring to his
credit being poor, is a bad penny like a wooden nickel. Maybe Barney is
saying something else but I have never been able to quite make it out, maybe
if I use bigger wires.

>>>I would like to know if anybody out there knows where I can find lyrics
to the songs on Andy's CD's, "Just
As I Am" and "I Love To Tell The Story"?
>>>

Seems like I've seen sheet music books for at least one of those albums.
First check Weaver's, then check with your local Christian bookstore or
music store.

Someone mentioned Mizz Mendlebright the other day. Saw her on an
eps. of Gommer Pyle USMC whre she played his (Gomers) Gramma .
Now of course she had changed her name and all,. but if she had that
big Boarding house why did poor Gome have to live in a roon behind
Wallys gas station with only a one burner hot plate.?? "

It was on accounta` that hot plate that Gomer couldnt stay in the boarding
house-he would have been trying to cook chili all the time, and then ol` Barn
would have tried it, and I would have had to have kicked them both out!

                                                       SNOOP! SNOOP!
