Subject: Andy In other roles&Mavis Neff
Andy was so good in A Face In the Crowd.but it is scary to see
another side of the Sheriff
. The worst for me was when I stumbled on this
movie called "Gramps".It was with John Ritter. Skeert me ,
.
Ok so Mavis Neff is naughty too. Lets be nice to her though
it is Christmas. Floyd says "Mavis Neff"... classic Floyd
comedy and thats all he had to say...
Happy Holidays , Laverne
Got a Christmas card from Big Maude Tyler aka Ralph Henderson .
Shes fine.
. Looking to open a dancing school when she gets out.

Subject: Downtown

Since we're heading out to Siler City for Christmas, I took a slow stroll
around downtown last night just to soak up the atmosphere. It is just so
pleasant this time of the year. If you haven't done it, just take a little
time and wander around downtown tonight. Of course, the outside tree over
in the church yard is as glorious as ever; with the blinds open in the court
house, you can see the tree back near the cells (Barn has added some new
ornaments he picked up at a Christmas shop in Raleigh during his last
vacation); Walker's drug store has some nice lights in the windows along
with one of those moving Santa Clauses that waves to you; Foley built a
wonderful window cornucopia made up of fresh vegetables; the Grand has
metallic garland draped along the marquee that really sparkles from all the
lights; Floyd got some of that snow stuff and sprayed snow flakes all over
his window; and Weaver's looks like a float from the Christmas parade
(nobody can ever accuse ol' Ben of not having Christmas spirit).
Christmas has come to Mayberry.
Merry Christmas to all my Mayberry friends.

Will Andy's appearance at the Opry on Jan. 18th be broadcast on TV too?
I sure hope so as there is no way we are up to travelling at that time.
Please keep us informed on this as it is most exciting!

Subject: TAGS on TVLand
Date: Fri, 20 Dec 2002 19:37:21 -0600
Some good news about a couple of our favorite TAGS episodes:
TVLand is having a special day of "Shows of Christmas Past." On Saturday,
Dec. 21st, the episode "Christmas Story" will be shown at 7:30 and 10:00 p.m.
EST.
Then they're having a "Last Things Last" and "First Things First" special
where they're airing the last episodes of TV shows and then the first ones.
For TAGS, they're airing "Mayberry R.F.D" (episode #249) on Dec. 31st. at 7:30
and 10:00 p.m. EST. And then the next day, Jan. 1st, they're airing "The New
Housekeeper," (episode #1) at 7:30 and 10:00 p.m EST.
So get those electronic conveniences programmed, loaded, and ready to go!
