During the epilogue of that episode, when Andy was
singing, I notice he said that Miss Ellie won the
position. I guess she went on to bigger & better
things in politics, cause we didn't see her much after
that. I personally thought Andy & Ellie had great
chemistry together, it's a shame she left the show.
Merry Christmas & Happy Hannukah.

Hey everyone,
I saw something yesterday that amazed me! Ernest T. Bass was (the original)
"Nutty Professor's" father. Did anyone else know that?
He was bullied by his wife and very timid. *Ha!!*
Maybe that is what drove him to the mountains and made him so mean.
There's one for the books.
Merry Christmas Everyone,
Cay (blonde (right out of the bottle)

I always kinda wondered why they didn't just run over to the
pharmacy. Surely they carried Christmas lights and Ellie would have given
them a good deal. If only Gomer hadn't broken so many of 'em....
Oh, Is anyone gonna re-post the Mayberry Christmas poem that we've enjoyed
over the last couple of holiday seasons?

I have a few tapes of the original airings with the commericals and I think
he says that on a few of them. I'm pretty sure he does at the end of the
first epiosde and at the end of the Battlin' Boones episode. Both are Sanka
commercials. And in the Jello commercial from Mr. McBeevee too, I think.

A friend of mine who owns a bookstore right near my house told me about a
new kids' video called "Hermie the Common Caterpillar," written by Max
Lucado and starring the voices of Tim Conway and Don Knotts. I found some
info about it at the following web site:

Has anybody seen this?

I may have posted this before, but I have a tape with Andy and Barney doing
a "Grape Nuts" commercial, "Grape Nuts fills you up not out". Without
intending to violate copyright or the rules of this group, I can post a link
to it online if anyone is interested. (I got a video capture card for
xmas). Email me direct or respond here, and specify what format. Hopefully
AVI, but I can do MPEG or Quicktime if you request.
Also, George Lindsay is coming to Panama City Beach, FL January 17th at
Gulf World.
