Was watching this classic movie last week and noticed
several TAGS alumni, most notably William? Baldwin,
who played the original Floyd "Colby" on a TAGS
episode. In the movie, he played the father of the
sailor that lost both arms (who was a real WWII vet,
and won an Oscar for his role). What a powerful
movie, showing the difficulty facing returning vets
back to civilian life. Glad my homecoming from Gulf
war #1 wasn't that difficult. They also mentioned my
old outfit, the Navy Seabees in the movie. Trivia:
Did you know Hugh Beaumont's (Ward Cleaver) was a
Seabee in the War? It was mentioned several times on
LITB.
I believe he was an architect on the show, and worked
with Lumpy's dad (Richard Deacon, ol Dick Van Dyke
show).

Boy, did Santa bring me an electronal marvel that would set Barn on his ear. An
atomic, dual alarm, digital weather radio! It resets itself seven times a day
to the microsecond based on the governments atomic clock buried in the
mountains of Boulder, CO. I can receive avalanche warnings & tidal wave
warnings, even though I live in Indiana.
Barn you could spend a whole evening explaining this one to Thel.
A Happy New Year to you and yours!
Ted

Bea is the traditional abbreviation for Beatrice but for some reason, the
show spelled it Bee. In the credits, it is spelled 'Bee'.
However, 'Bea' is the traditional abbreviation for Beatrice.

Yes, I saw Coweta County and hated to see "my Andy" as that character. And
the execution scene was more than I could handle. I wish he wouldn't do roles
like that.
>>Andy has said in many interviews how much he enjoyed this role. It's my
second favorite part he's ever done. Actors that are known for "good guy"
roles seem to always like playing a bad guy once in a while.
