I recently watched the "Making of..." feature on the new THE JUNGLE BOOK (1967)
DVD. A couple interesting pieces of TAGS trivia...
?- Bruce Reitherman was the voice of 'Mowgli,' but he was?2nd choice. The
originally cast voice actor was David Bailey ('Trey Bowden' and 'Fred
Simpson'). When?voice?recording went into production, David's voice began to
change, and he had to be replaced.
?- Three of the four vultures have appeared in cast credits (e.g., imdb) as?J.
Pat O'Malley, Chad Stuart (of Chad & Jeremy) and Lord Tim Hudson. A production
photo in?the featurette?reveals the?4th vulture as voice actor Dallas McKennon,
'Brian' in "The Statue."?
Clint Howard appears briefly in new interview footage;?Clint was the voice of
'Junior the Elephant.' Also, Sterling Holloway is the voice of 'Kaah the
Python.'
