One person no one considered as a veteran is Mr. Schwamp!! He HAD to be a veteran in the secret service! He is well qualified for that, since he learned to listen and smile, and keep his mouth shut!! Why, I bet he was close to being a General, or maybe an Admiral!! What sounds better, General Schwamp or Admiral Schwamp? I go for Admiral!! Vets day in Raleigh was very confusing....we observed Veteran's day Saturday with an hour long parade. It would have been longer but it was cold and the units went twice as fast! Sunday was actually Veteran's day. Today, all the public offices and mail delivery are closed!! So we actually had a 3 day Veteran's day this year! After all, the veterans deserve to be recognized EVERY day of the year, especially those who served in battle! How many veterans do we have here?
