Wow, what a great Mayberry Days we had. Just returned and am tired, as we
live in Ohio, but guess I'm just all keyed up. I think this Mayberry days was
the best I have been to. I really enjoyed the Colonel Tim's show this year. Had
lots of "Mayberry" this year. Wonderful skits of the show. Loved Barney and
the Choir, Otis, Opie, Floyd & Barney in the Alcohol & Old Lace skit,
Gomer & Goober's scene from their only show together- The Fun Girls, but the
scene from the Manicurest was the BEST! What a great job all of the Tribute
Artists do! They really put a lot of hard work into entertaining us all and
making Mayberry Days such a fun time. They are the Best!! We appreciate you so
much. It just wouldn't be Mayberry Days without them.

This year was dedicated to our Wonderful "Thelma Lou" who is always such a
joy to see and talk to. How great is it that she now really lives in
"Mayberry". Maggie & the Dillards always put on a good show, we love hearing
Doug play
that Banjo. All of the stars contribute so much to this wonderful weekend.

We always enjoy so much the Michael Hoover, Elvis show. He is such a nice
person and can he ever sing. I've never heard anyone better than our Michael.
He
gives his all to his audience and loves entertaining with all the tribute
artists, or the Mayberry Mafia as he so jokingly calls them. If he ever
performs near you, be sure to see him, his show is wonderful.

The crowd this year was unbelievable, I've never seen so many fans turn out
for the parade. The parade had trouble getting down the street as fans were
lined deeper than ever. Must have been a record crowd. Does anyone know?

And what better way to end the festivities than to led in song by our very
own "Floyd", Allan Newsome, in "My Home Town"!! He must have been taking
lessons from Eleanor Poultice as he did a great job!

Anyway, just wanted to tell anyone who has not had this experience to really
try to make it sometime, you won't be sorry. Just be sure to book well in
advance for any shows you want to see. From this past weekend I can only assume

that Mayberry will be alive for a long, long time.

We even made it to "Mount Pilot" this year. Our first time!! Now I can tell
everyone I've been there, and I don't even need a new suit.

Wish all of you a Great Mayberry Day!!
