Of wax paper....before ziplock, before baggies?  Yes I remember and still have 
a roll of wax paper along with my other such kitchen supplies.
 
As a kid, I remember having the wax paper sandwich bags.  These were all I ever 
knew for sandwiches, chips, Mr Cookie Bars, (I wish!).  Had one of those black 
metal--sort of barn shaped-- lunch boxes where you could put a themos in the 
"lid".  Would decorate with Chacita (sp?) Banana stickers.  Always hoped the 
themos hadn't fallen out of the lid and crushed what was below!
 
And yes I thought it a little shocking David Browne the hobo friend would find 
a sandwich in the bag prepared by Aunt Bee without such a wrapping. Or maybe 
she didn't fix the sandwiches that day?  Hmmm?
