Hi all, I have a couple of questions for you experts. I bought the supplemental DVD that has the pilot episode on The Danny Thomas Show and Return to Mayberry. Why was Aunt Bee's character changed from Aunt Lucy in the pilot. Also it was sure weird seeing Mrs.Bavier playing a different character as was Will Wright. And another town drunk other than Otis. Now on to question #2. While watching Return To Mayberry I noticed the terrible attempt to create Aunt Bee's voice. I was wondering why they wrote her out of the movie. If I am right the movie was made in 1986 and she died in 1989 I believe. Did she not want to be in the movie or was she in declining health. Just curious. Thanks in advance!!
