Until recently my Grandparents had a party phone line with everyone on the line
having different types of rings. I think theirs might have also been two longs
and a short, but don't recall exactly.
Speaking of parties, I've been watching the Mayorial race. There are things
to be said for and again both Stoner and Pike. Being that I'm a modern type
gal, I'd like to suggest another candidate. Miss Bee Taylor. She has a deep
interest and concern for the citizens of Mayberry. She has had experience in
politics when she ran against Howard Sprague. Miss Taylor learned a great deal
from that experience, and has shown herself as a person who is willing to
accept challenges in her life. (Can Pike or Stoner fly a plane?)
I suggest the concerned citizens of Mayberry begin a write in campaign for
Bee Taylor, much like the one that saw Andy Taylor re-elected Sheriff when his
name was not on the ballot. Now how anyone votes is their own business, but
once that curtin closes I think it wise to think about the lady who sewed them.
