>>>Don't forget that Old Man Rimshaw was supposed to have killed his

That's a good one Ken, yeah there were a lot more deaths if you just
stop and think about it. Willis Cundiff (kicked by a Mule). Tom Silby
(who turned up alive later) Briscoe Darling's wife's first husband (run
over by a team of hogs).

Now the person that challenged my theory (Schwamp as a Funeral
Director) said there weren't a lot of deaths in Mayberry, because we did
not hear about them ... Well if you use that logic, there weren't a lot
of birth's either, because we only hear about Quiet Sam's family.
Deaths happen, they just don't talk about them a lot. The fact that
there were so few, supports my theory because he had so much spare time
to socialize and hang out around town.

Think about it, what do you need a funeral director to do? Wear a suit,
nod and smile, be polite, tell not tales etc. Orville the undertaker
left early in Season 1. Yes the name was Nelson's Funeral parlor
according to Gomer--so that may or may not be an issue. He could work
for the Nelsons. (or was it Wilson's)

Anyway I'm sticking with that theory for now. I think with his forensic
background he was at Crime scenes, such as the offending rock, and when
he shows up at the counterfeiter's crash. Think about Tom Silby..how
did that secret stay quiet for so long???--a Funeral director/ burial
planner who doesn't talk!!! That's how.

I think we can all have different theories, that makes it fun...and I
apologize to those who are all Scwhamped out..but for me Schwamp
History.. That's my favorite subject.
