How's about we give our favourite episodes by character.
Here's my list:
* Andy-- way too many but as a dad "Mr. McBeeVee"
* Barney--way too many
* Young Opie--"Opie's Charity" simply b/c I love his facial
expressions "Poor Horatio, half a boy"
* older Opie--"Opie's Band" where he tries to talk like he's a real
swinger "I think I'll go have some of these groovy potato chips"
* Aunt Bee--"Aunt Bee the Warden"
* Floyd Lawson--"Convicts-at-Large" Local Barber Captures Escaped

* Otis Campbell--"The Rehabilitation of Otis"
* Ben Weaver--"The Christmas Story"
* Gomer--"A Date for Gomer" where he is fixed up w/ Mary Grace and
we see how sweet he really is
* Mayor Pike--"Mayberry Goes Hollywood"
* Mayor Stoner--"Barney and the Governor"
* Briscoe Darling--"Briscoe Declares for Aunt Bee"
* Goober--"Goober Goes to an Auto Show" because he realizes how good
he really has it in Mayberry
* Warren Ferguson--"A Warning from Warren"
* Howard Sprague--"Howard the Comedian"
* Emmett Clark--"The Wedding" because of him, Howard's swinging
bachelor pad really was swinging.
* Emma Brand--"Ellie Comes to Town" Poor Dear she needs her pills
* Ellie Walker--"Ellie Comes to Town"
* Nurse Peggy--"Opie's Rival"
* Thelma Lou--"The Rivals" where she comforts Opie after his girl
pays him no attention also the one where she & Barney are looking
in the furniture shop window & planning how their house would
look. He's not ready for marriage & she agrees but you can see in
her eyes she wishes he would pop the question
* Helen Crump--"Three Wishes for Opie" Just who do you think you
are, anyway, Mayberry's answer to Cary Grant?
* Charlene Darling--"Divorce Mountain Style"
* Clara Johnson--"The Pickle Story" when she explains to Andy about
how her late husband loved her pickles
* Clara Edwards--"Only a Rose" b/c she proved her friendship w/Bee
was stronger than anything
* Fun Girls--"Arrest of the Fun Girls"
* Martha Clark--"Emmett's Anniversary"
* Laura Lee Hobbs--"A Black Day for Mayberry"
I love every episode but these are some of my favourites.
