I agree, my least favorite episode is when Barney comes back for the class reunion and learns that Thelma Lou has married someone else. I don't understand why the writers didn't explain their break-up. They were so close, and he said "you know you're the only girl I ever loved", yet he leaves town, doesn't write and breaks her heart. This doesn't make sense to me at all. I also agree that having Barney fall for that silly girl from school contradicts everything he ever said about his feelings for Thelma Lou. I'm glad they married in the TV movie though! I can't remember if they said she was a widow? Does anyone remember what they said? Silvia, from California
