I wish they had shown Andy propose. It would have made a good episode with Howard and Goober and Opie interfering with Andy's plans so much that Andy would just have to propose in front of everyone. In the episode where Aunt Bee dates the (Senator or Congressman?), Andy goes to ask him to their house for dinner and the (?) asks Helen about her and Andy. Helen kinda says they aren't engaged or anything. So, being the investigative types we are, we can deduce that the engagement happened after that. Also when Andy was jealous of that guy Helen sat on the same side of the booth with, Andy asks Helen if she wants to run with him or run with the other guy. Which of course ticked Helen off, but kinda made it sound like they were exclusive. Hmmmm, maybe she proposed. Or Barney called it in from Raleigh. Makes ya wonder. Kim - Wylie, TX
