Ok, everyone, this is big!!!!! I caught an article in The St. Petersburg Times regarding getting a postage stamp initiated. The rules are simple. The US Postal Service receives requests up to 50,000 a year. The ideas are reviewed by an independent committee, who recommend their choices to the postmaster general. It's that easy!!! Now, considering that those 50,000 requests are probably individual suggestions and considering that us TAGS fans number in the thousands, it stands to reason that if every single one of us wrote one letter requesting a Mayberry stamp.....well... all I can say is power is in numbers! But, before you put the bucket on and start nominating certain characters, don't you think one stamp recognizing our beloved city of Mayberry encompasses the entire love of the show and each and every character in it? One request by thousands would surely make a difference. It did with TVLand.
