*** It was in the episode Aunt Bea the Crusader. She told Andy if you would spend less time in the Sheriff's office and more time in Church....... I thought Andy was a regular church goer?? *** He was, but perhaps Aunt Bea was giving him flak for not being more involved beyond Sunday morning. (Then again she also accused everyone of "always running here and there" when Barney planned to "run" to the store for some ice cream on a lazy Sunday afternoon.) In the episode about Opie's newspaper, Andy's crack about the pastor's sermons being "dry as dust" resulted in Andy getting "stuck" teaching a Sunday School class, and obviously he wasn't thrilled with it. Of course on the other hand, in the episode about the choir robes and the foundation issues, Andy appeared to have a planning committee-type role in the church.
