***The host of the Turner Classic Movie program (sorry don't know his name) said he worked as a young man....at the Desilu Studios commenting this was a hard movie at times for Lucy...storyline.a little close to home apparently.
But anyway....Stranger in Town is one of my favorite episodes of TAGS and I recognized William Lanteau--Ed Sawyer immediately! Does anyone know if he stayed around Mayberry? *** Evidently the movie was filmed about the time Lucy and Desi were getting divorced. As for Ed Sawyer, he apparently lived out his retirement in that town where Bob Newhart ran his inn...oh yeah that's right, that was all a dream.
