>>>I'm going to try my question of a few days ago again. When Barney passionately recounts the story of escorting the Apricot queen ... How long ago in the past do you think that happened? ... Barney makes reference to Juanita at the Diner...
Maybe you weren't paying attention. Barney gives the date of that incident as Saturday, June 23, 1952, so he and Andy must have been in their twenties. I guess his memory is a bit off, because June 23, 1952 was actually a Monday. The mention of Juanita is puzzling, since in an earlier episode (Andy Forecloses, which aired in 1961) it's implied that Barney and Juanita had just met. It's established that she is the "new waitress and the Junction Cafe, where all the truck drivers stop." She didn't work at the diner until later. Maybe she just happened to be hanging around the diner on the day of the Apricot Blossom Festival. --Paul _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://mail.wbmutbb.com/mailman/listinfo/wbmutbb_wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
