I Never cared much for the color versions because after Barn left it jusy
didn't seem the same , the writing of the scripts changed alot and even Andys
charactor seemed to change and get more stict and grummpy towards Opie, almost
like he was fed up with anything Opie did wrong, He was a good kid and rarely
talked back or did wrong things to be so mad at.
I missed the old Andy that was easy going and had country wisdom and had more
patience to deal with problems.
I was stationed in Alabama, right out side of ozark and enterprise.
Maybe because I was a soldier and we didn't get alot of respect back in the
70's from the local people, I didn't like those small town or any of them back
then very much.
Oh I wanted to like them because i did like the small feel of them but I have
alot of hard feelings left over from those days and the way I was treated and
didn't deserve.
I wouldn't mind visiting there again because I don't want to be mad at anyone
but I don't think I would live there.
