Hmmm...Hadn't thought about it from that angle, Danna, but I think your darling person definitely has a point there! I'm still not sure about Opie's motive, but the writers' motive was apparently to work on Andy (and his pride) and get him to see that there were other qualities in Opie that he needed to appreciate, too.
