Hello, Everyone,
You all do know that today (Friday) is Bastille Day? Well, it is. So if any
of you want to take a drink--just for celebration purposes--I thought I'd
remind you.
Not that me and Laura Lee Hobbs ever touch the stuff. We don't believe in
gambling either. We think it's a sin and you just can't talk enough about sin.
Now, for my question of the day. We know there's no equaling TAGS. But if you
had to recommend a modern day program that best reflects the values and
entertainment of our Andy shows, which show would you name?
While it's not my
all-time-favorite show, and I'll be the first to admit its characters are all
deeply flawed, I suppose I would nominate "Everybody Loves Raymond."
It is not too filled with profanity, the family attends church, and although
they fight like wild-cats at times, they all do love each other and most of
the storylines
come from real life instances that people can relate to (hurt feelings,
misundertandings, feeling like you're being taken for granted or not
appreciated,
you know, common life issues we have all felt at one time or another).
But, I'd love to know your choice for the show most like "Andy."
I was just wondering what modern day shows you all like since they surely don't
make 'em like "Andy" anymore.
Lydia, "That's one subject you just can't talk enough about, sin." (Barney)
" He didn't talk about sin." (Andy)
