I can imagine how Andy Taylor's 80th birthday would be celebrated. Opie and family would stop by and pick up Andy and Helen and take them to Thelma Lou and Barney's house. Thelma Lou would have prepared leg of lamb (Andy's favorite dish). After a nice dinner Barney will suggest going for a drive, and eventually talk Andy into it. They'll make up an excuse to stop by the courthouse where inside, Goober, Gomer, Howard, Sam, Millie, Mike, Leon (the current Sherriff) and several other town folks will have set up a surprise party. There'll be a big orange cake that has 80 written in blue frosting. The Darlings along with Charlene and Andelina will lead the singing. Andy will attempt to blow out the candles, but they'll be those trick re-lighting kind courtesy of Goober. The root beer will flow like water, and a good time will be had by all. The next day, there'll be a write up and pictures in the Mayberry Gazette. I wonder how Andy Griffith is celebrating his birthday. I hope it's as good. Kim - Wylie, TX
