My brother and I chewed tar when we were elementary school age or grade
schoolers as we were called then. We peeled the tar off the low roof buildings
that had overflowed when they poured tar on to seal the seams. We were 3 miles
from a store and didn't have the money for gum even when we did get to town. My
brother died young but it was not from chewing tar. I'm 72 and still have all
of my teeth.
I've got to agree with Johnny Paul.

Been there and did it, Delayne in WIS.
