How can you forget the time George "Goober" Lindsey appeared on "M*A*S*H"? Or
the time Hope Summers (Clara Edwards) played a nurse who stood up for Henry
Blake at a court martial and referred to the military brass as a "bunch of
high-priced bellhops"?
A lot of behind the scenes connections as well, with writers (Jim Fritzell and
Everett Greenbaum) and directors (Gene Reynolds). And oh yes, both shows spent
their network runs on CBS, where both came on Monday nights (I think even in
the same time slot).
