I, like most others, are speechless in regards to what one can say about someone who has filled our hearts with heavy laughter and love......but I will take the initiative to pose this thought. It does our hearts good to put on paper our feelings and express our love for someone. We were all actually late in this for Don Knotts. Let's not be late in expressing to Andy Griffith our love for him and the show. So, Allen, what can we all do, to extend to Mr. Griffith our sincerity?
Let's not wait until he has passed us in this life to show him how much we care. We watch the show, we all attend Mayberry Days, we write to the Digest. TV Land made a statue. We post notices on blogs, we sign guest books. But as most deaths go, what we do after someone has died is basically for our own sake, to feel better about ourselves. I'm sure there's a way for us to start an honorarium (for a lack of a better word, help me here folks) to Andy Griffith. It would be nice for us to let him know how much we appreciate him. What do you say, fellow members? Any suggestions? To jog back to an old thread - when we were listing our favorite one liners, can anyone think of the shortest one liners? I think Goober wins with "Yo!" and Gomer wins with "Shazam!" Harriet, the chicken thief hiding in Kelsey's Woods USA, ......"Johnny Paul Jason says chewing tar is good for your teeth"..."That's an old wives tale"...."Johnny Paul ain't married"........ _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://mail.wbmutbb.com/mailman/listinfo/wbmutbb_wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
