When we heard of our dear friends passing last night, it just brought about
some many
wonderful memories of a wonderful man. Don Knotts was more than an entertainer,
he was a friend to millions of viewers for so many years. His performance as
Barney
Fife was truly a classic & is a part of Americana. My favorite movie was " The
Ghost
& Mr. Chicken " which was truly classic & had Mayberry stamped all over it.
Although
our dear Don is now gone, he will never be forgetten. He will live on through
reruns,
but most importantly he will live on in our hearts as a truly gracious, kind &
talented
man. Just as when Barney left Mayberry we felt heartbroken, so tonight we feel
the
same way, but we are grateful for the blessing Don Knotts was to our lives.
