Hi Folks, I've been reading the digest for a long while now, but I didn't want to jump in till I had something to say! :>}
My wife was watching "That '70's Show" last night, and Don Knotts made a very brief appearance as an imaginary land lord (via "Mr. Furley") in a day dream sequence. He looked great! My wife and I both jumped up at the same time and yelled at the TV "That's Don Knotts!!!" (I was pretending not to watch as I don't care much for modern sit coms ... but I was busted!) Don Knotts has a special place in my heart as I had the great honor to interview him over the phone in late 1998 for an article in a glossy cover Sci Fi magazine about his role in "The Incredible Mr. Limpet." (It was an all underwater issue!) He was the most gracious, gentle and unpretentious person I have ever spoken with. He wasn't home the first time I called him, so I left a message on his answering machine, and HE called ME back!! I nearly got tongue-tied when I heard his voice as he asked for me. Anyway, the interview went really well, and the article turned out well too. I've agonized over putting a link to the interview here because I don't want to seem to be a self promoting egotist - especially on my first post. But I decided that you folks have such good hearts, that you will take me at my word that I would be honored to have you folks read it and let me know if you thought it was ok or not.
