I can come up with an answer here. (I believe I posed the question as well and wanted to see what ppl here knew, and what the series had the freq. to be.)
Take a close look at the Antenna on the car (looks like a 102 inch whip CB antenna). One being that long, that would indicate the frequency was 42-46 MHZ (alot of agencies did run this in the 50's 60's and and still many are licensed by the FCC for the frequencies, but most aren't used. Source is Police Call by Radio Shack @ Hollins Radio Data. FCC frequency allocations are as follows for police/fire/sheriff/ambulance 42-46 mhz (low band) 154.00-156.09 mhz (VHF) 453-460 mhz (UHF) 800-900 mhz (trunked and conventional) If Police run air ops they can be heard here too 118-136MHZ (aircraft band) as well as the above. http://www.monitoringtimes.com http://www.grove-ent.com http://www.radioreference.com This is the current listing for Surry Co.
