[EMAIL PROTECTED] is the address to send Charles Lane Birthday wishes.

Here are my favourite e-card sites if you are interested:
http://dailyguideposts.com/ecard/
http://mycheers.com/
http://bowcreek.com/
http://angelwinks.net/PostCardPageIndex.html
http://www.fromtheheartpostcards.com/AtoZMenu.html
http://dayspring.com/ecards/

None of these will bother you after sending a card except Daily
Guideposts & day spring & you can always un-check that box before
sending the card. Bowcreek &, I think My Cheers make it easy to send a
lot of the same card to a group of people, like Christmas cards. or
Valentines day cards.

 >From the Heart has pet sympathy cards that I use whenever someone's
beloved pet dies. I especially like their poems. It is aimed mainly at
cats, but they do cover dogs, rabbits, horses, etc.

Daily Guideposts & Dayspring are almost exactly alike because day spring
makes the Guideposts cards. They have lots of cards with flash animation
& some people can not view these so maybe you ought to ask that
question, also when sending out a survey. One of the firts things I did
when I rec'd my new e-Mac was to go to Daily Guideposts & see what a
flash card looked like b/c I could not see them with my old Mac.
Hope that this helps,
Marie

Our local newspaper have local folks that do featured articles
once a week. The article today was written by a gentleman of
60ish that went to Sears for a treadmill. He said "The salesman
was a Barney Fife type with a sales tag instead of a badge. He
proceeded to give me all the details and the workings of several
models. When I said that I was too old and the machines way to
complicated for me, the salesman said 'Nip it in the bud, your in
your prime, I don't want to hear talk like that!".

I just about fell out of my chair laughing, and thoroughly enjoying
the fact, that Barney is now gone mainstream at Sears!

Couldn't help but laugh while watching the Presidential "Inarculation"
today. I am surprised that Barney could not swing it so it was held in
Mayberry. Can you imagine the story line if Barney, Otis, Jud, Gomer,
Goober, and Warren were in charge of security. The Mayberry Town Band would
lead the parade followed by the Potato Queen in a bathing suit riding in
Earl Gilly's convertible. Perhaps Barney could follow that riding on his
"sickle".They probably would have borrowed a limo from the Mt. Pilot
mortuary. The reception could have been held in the Blue View Motel Banquet
Room or the Kiwanis Hall and it could have been catered by Aunt Bee and
Clara Edwards. Mayor Stoner could present the President with a jar of Aunt
Bee's Kerosene Cucumbers.
There is only one word that would describe this event.
BIG.

Does anyone know who the 2 actors were that played Josh and Hanna
(Wakefields and Carters)? Do they
ever go to any Mayberry events?

Hey everybody. I read Anita's post about the Mayberry Calendar and I
got one for Christmas too. I know the show from most of the pictures,
but not all. Can you list on the digest for everyone to see them Anita?
I did notice that they used the same picture on one month this year as
they did last with just a smaller or bigger shot (can't remember which
one). It has finally turned cold in NC, it was bound to happen. Well,
got to go. Horatio (Kevin)

I can't watch Emma in any episode without her real name flashing into my

else with the name of Cherrio?

Andy sentenced that couple (Dabs Greer and ?/) to either "$10 or 10

Opie and that Steve Quincy fellow were whipping apples and applecores at
one another until Opie got caught breaking the streetlight.

Otis throws down a few jars of 'shine every week.

A baseball was thrown into the haunted house that started that whole

Joe, it probably was Andy that was going back and forth with Fred
Sanford. I remember seeing a different commercial several weeks ago
about schedule changes, but this was the first time I've seen this
particular one. I was probably thinking it was Barney just because
of the "Nip It" phrases that Fred used. You're right though....it
gets the point across to the regular viewers about the schedule
changes.

Loraine

A lot of you have been e-mailing your Mayberry Moments and I thought I would
contribute. Actually, I have my Mayberry Moments everyday at where I work.
We have tags that go on our containers that we ship out and I have to record
these tags. So, every time I type the word "tags" it reminds me of - well,
TAGS. That always brings a little cheer to my day.

I've been listening a lot to the Radio Classics channel on Sirius Satellite
Radio lately. They broadcast re-runs of old radio shows, and it's great
listening in the car. Anyhow, many of the TAGS cast evidently had quite
extensive experience in radio before moving on to television, because I hear
them often. Howard McNear (Floyd) and Parley Baer (Mayor Stoner) were greatly
in demand, because I'm hearing them on MANY shows, both as stars and playing
minor roles. "Gunsmoke" airs often, of course (thanks to its popularity), and
it's fun to hear Floyd playing Doc and the Mayor as Chester ("Look out, Mr.
Dillon! He's got a gun!"). For my money, I like the radio version of Gunsmoke
better than TV! (and I love the TV show).

One of my most recent discoveries--and I'm pretty sure about this--is on
"Hopalong Cassidy." Hoppy's radio sidekick, California, apparently was played
by the same actor who played Henry Bennett (The Jinx) on TAGS.

I don't know if you call these "sightings" or not, since it's radio, but it's
fun hearing these folks nevertheless!

I was checking the web yesterday and saw an article that stated we could expect
Seasons Two through Four before the end of Summer 2005. No indication of
release dates though.
