Aunt Bee from Orlando mentioned that she thought Jim Lindsay bought something
from Winston Salem. Well, this may be a bit trivial, but "what it was...was
a guitar pick". Sorry, I hate to show off this way, but it's easier than
leap-froggin' stumps or heftin' Romeena.

This new suits about to strangle me...

Have you read about the new Buffalo/Bison Nickel. Honest to goodness
the Buffalo is facing the opposite way of the old (now rare) nickel.
Check it out!! Andy was a prophet! (or a Gypsies with a Crystal Ball)

I like the show Cold Cases every once in a while. Tonight I'm pretty
sure Rance Howard was on. He's still a great actor.

As someone said this was like "eeny meenie" to the point it was also
used to pick things:

Icka Backa Soda Cracker
Icka Backa Boo
Icka Backa Soda Cracker
I Choose You.

I have al old Peter Pan record that a relative owned in the 40's (no,
NOT me!) that has an old song on it using the rhyme this way.

Wasn't there a reference to either Minneapolis or St. Paul in the episode where
Andy was to take a job in South America? I thought his friend (who ended up
giving the job to someone else due to nepotism) who called him about the job
(Ed Crumpacker?) was calling him from the land of 10,000 lakes.

By coincidence I just watched this episode...a great piece of Mayberry
history!

At any rate---I was wondering..."Music from Mayberry" the record was made on
that show. Were their by chance any real Mayberry recordings of Andy and
the cast at the time (besides the Dillards)? If so, are they attainable
now?? I know Andy has done some Gospel music and I have that entire
wonderful collection...but was wondering if there was more!

Thanks!!

There is a good article and film clip about Jeff Branch's new restaurant, the
Mayberry Daze Diner in Oakboro, NC at:

Word from our County Clerk is business is keeping Olive and Juanita busy - and
that is good news for Jeff & Oakboro!

Tucker's Lake (Can' t remember right off where it is mentioned)
Old Man Kelsey's Creek (Education of Ernest T. Bass)
Harry's Pond (Uncle Ollie sets out to go trout fishing there but is
stopped)
Parker's Creek (Aunt Bee wanted to build a bridge over it in Aunt Bee
for Council)

Un-named:

The Duck Pond (Barney and Thelma Lou park there from time to time)
The body of water that the Robert E. Lee Natural Bridge crosses (Mountain
