Can you think of some Mayberry citizens that were only ever mentioned once (
but never made an actual appearance on the show )?
Here's some that I thought of - see if any trained noticers make any
corrections:
* Lauralee Hobbs
* Otis Campbell's mother in law
* Edgar Coleman

A few days back we were talking about Fishing Holes (sites where fishing
is filmed). I just noticed in the book Mayberry Memories there is a
picture of the filming of Henry the Jinx where Henry Andy and Barney are
fishing. The caption notes that this is filmed at the small pond on the
40 Acres lot. This confirms what someone reported earlier that some of
the fishing scenes were done there...probably the ones with a dock since
a post can be seen sticking up in the foreground.
Boy, Andy just never did get over the jealous thing did he? First there
was The new Doctor and Ellie. Then "Don" stopped by Peggy's and ruined
Andy's date, and then it was Frank and his "blamed grading manual"
horning in on Andy's time with Helen.
Before we finish up Northern references, I believe Aunt Bee mentions
South Bend in a color episode talking about college. That is the only
Indiana reference. Baltimore (Maryland) is mentioned a few times as
well. Someone mentioned that the Shoe Salesman was a long way from
"The Manhattan Shoe Company". He was probably just the North Carolina
Salesman. That doesn't mean he was based in Manhattan. Everyone that
works for Kentucky Fried Chicken, is not in Kentucky.

To all Thelma Lous (ladies who took the quiz about
which Mayberry character they are). There will be a
meeting at Andy's house in a couple of days. Bring
your best fudge recipe and be prepared to be addressed
by a Barney-type gentleman regarding a topic of
interest to us all!

In a message dated 3/5/05, Frank over at the diner writes:

Oh Frank .. I'm a CSI in real life! Trust me, very few of my stories could
make it in Mayberry. I've noticed few car and house break-ins there (even if
you
do leave your doors unlocked). :) There are even fewer homicide scenes to
work.
I did accidentally blow fingerprint dust up into my eyes and wound up looking
like a racoon a few weeks back. Now, I could see CSI Gomer doing this! heheh
I'm all up for others suggesting CSI: Mayberry storylines tho! Go for it!

Oliver? I like TAGS, but I'm nowhere near the experts you guys are. Can I
still subscribe here, or do I need to go retake some prerequsite?
