Hey Folks,

I hope everyone is having a joyous Easter Holiday. We have had a full day of
Worship, family and food. I ate waaaaaaay too much!!

I just wanted to tell you we have added a new item to the Mayberry Emporium
web site. The "Goobear" The original was made by my Mom for George Lindsey's
birthday.

It is a really neat item. Not many have been made so if you want one you
need to act quick.

You can find a link on the web site:

_www.mayberry-emporium.com_ (http://www.mayberry-emporium.com)

on the "Home" page.

Be sure to check out the newest proposed version of the Goober bobble head
as well. This item is still in the works. Keep you fingers crossed!!

Thanks a bunch and I look forward to seeing everyone at a Mayberry event
this year.

Gary (Bert at the Emporium)

I searched our MN walmart for the jammies and I had no luck finding them. It
doesn't surprise me, living up north and all. I would be really interested in
getting a pair. How much are they? I would be willing to pay shipping for
anyone that would pick up a pair for me. What do they look like?

In yesterday's column by Raleigh News & Observer Dennis Rogers's column on
Georgia's "Hogzilla," quotes "wise philosopher Barney Fife" regarding, how big
("Big ain't the word for it.") "Hogzilla" was as he speculates about how the
fellers that bagged that animal could have had "the world's largest pig
pickin'." Makes my mouth water. Well, the part about the bioharard suits put
me off a little. But if they had gotten to the hog in time with a coupla jugs
of sauce and some slaw. Umm umm. http://newsobserver.com/new

Hi all! I hope your Easter was a blessed one with friends and family. I sat
on the porch this morning for a while and watched the Beamon family walk by on
their way to church, and boy did they look sharp in their new spring clothes.
Poor old Plain Claude Beamon is still as plain as always but he sure has a nice
smile.

I went to my local Wal-Mart yesterday in hopes of finding some TAGS jammies,
but there were none to be found. I was disappointed to say the least, but I
plan to check at other Wal-Mart stores when I get a chance.

Thanks to all of you who write in, because I really enjoy all of your comments,
and of course a huge thank you to Allan who keeps this wonderful digest going.

I was surfing the internet and ran across this book for sale:
"The Definitive Andy Griffith Show Reference: Episode-by-Episode, with Cast and
Production Biographies and a Guide to Collectibles"
by Dale Robinson, David Fernandes

Is anyone familiar with this book and would you recommend it?

Click on Event Calendar and there you have all the information any
Mayberryian could ever ask for.....Bookkmark it and visit often and say to

I could do research and find out a lot about TAGS. I have my handy, dandy TAGS
Book by Ken Beck and Jim Clark and I could probably search the archives and
other links from tagsrwc.com, but I have an old slow dial-up connection and I
don't like to spend a lot of time on the computer (I'd rather be out walking
the dog). Besides, it is much more fun to read the digest and ask questions.
And I'm sure most of the citizens of Mayberry enjoy responding with answers to
all the trivial trivialities we hold so dear to our hearts. My thanks to all
of you experts and trained noticers that brighten my day with your clever and
witty ways of expressing yourselves and to Allen who makes it all possible.

And the day's at the morn;

The snail's on the thorn;

All's right with the world!" Robert Browning

I know I've been down this road before, but I noticed in one of my books
last night a shot of the filming of The Jinx. It was the boat scene with
the crew and doubles standing around on the bank about 10 feet away from the
stars out in the boat.

It said the scene was filmed at a pond on 40 Acres. But I didn't recognize
any of the buildings in the background of the shot. So apparently there was
a pond on the lot somewhere, but dogged if I can figure out where it might
have been.
