FYI Carol, be careful about quoting poetry. Briscoe Darling might be reading
the digest and think you are speaking directly to him.

Yeah, Boy - I can recommend it.

You better git you one. No offense to Rev. Tucker, but this is the "good
book" for TAGS fans. Mine is half worn out with sticky notes and
whatknot stuck everywhere to mark favorite parts.

Dale and David are nice guys too. They also have a Mayberry RFD "bible"
that is worth investing in.

I went to my local Super Wal-Mart and couldn't find the Mayberry
pajamas. I live in Georgia so it has nothing to do with North and South.
I got on the internet and went to Wal-Mart.com and it is not open at
this time. Tried Google for pajama sources but not having any luck. I
may just have to keep wearing my Mickey Mouse pjs. that one of my
daughters gave me a couple years ago. Mary

Happy Spring!
           I searched 2 wal-marts in Jersey & NO pj's. I tried on-line & no
luck there either. Is there an enterprising person out there who would be
willing to purchase a few pairs at their local wal-mart& ship them to me? I
will of
course pay for shipping & whatever you would charge for your time, GAS etc.
You can reach me direct at [EMAIL PROTECTED] THANK YOU!!!

I really hate to ask for prayer it makes me feel so needy but this is for my
daughter-in-law. She is a 28 year old mother of four young children. She is
going to the Cleveland Clinic for surgery. Her stomach has failed and she is
dying of malnutrition.Because of the lack of nourishment to her body she is at
high risk for a heart attack. Please pray for her and for my son. He is
watching the children while she is hospitalized. He doesn't get paid for his
time off the job. This will be a very costly surgery. They really need your
prayers and God's help. Thank you , Barb

I'm getting frustrated! My WalMart does not have any Andy jammies or any other
TVLand ones. I didn't find them on their website either nor when I googled it.
Does anyone have any info whatsoever that could help us order them directly
from the manufacturer? H - e - l - p!!

I saw one of my all time favorite comedies again yesterday, "It's a Mad, Mad,
Mad, Mad World," the ultimate comedy-chase film (even better than "Smokey and
the Bandit").  Of course, anyone who's seen it knows Don Knotts has a cameo;
Phil Silvers hitches a ride with him and tricks him into thinking he's a
secret agent in order to take Don's '55 Ford Sunliner. But this time I
couldn't
help but notice the part where Silvers asks him, "By the way, do you know how
to
handle a gun?" and Knotts, rather surprised, answers, "Uh, yeah!" Anyone
besides me think that's an inside TAGS reference (it was on hiatus between
seasons 2 and 3 when IAMMMMW was filmed)?

I hope everyone got to see Don Knotts on the NBC show "Las Vegas" tonight.
He had a neat cameo.

The premise was one of the high rollers was wearing his father's 1972 lime
green leisure suit and wine got spilled on it. They tried to clean it with no
luck. The casino host went looking for another suit.

She went to a house and Don Knotts answered the door. It showed his 5 Emmys
and they mentioned they were for "Barney Fife". He had a leisure suit just
like the one that got ruined.

He was seen in the audience at the end during a Tony Orlando concert. Don
looked really good. It was great to see him on TV again.

I'm always looking at calendars and stuff on the walls to see what I might
spot on the set. I had to teach The Case of the Punch in the Nose for Bible
Study this week and I was reviewing the lesson when I noticed the calendar
on the wall in Floyds. We got some pretty good shots, but as always, no
year or month is showing. But then the Trained Noticer in me took over.
The easy clue was that there were only 28 days, so the month had to be
February. Then I spotted 2 harder clues. I saw that one of the dates was
in red (pretty good for me to notice that in a B&W episode, huh?), then
another. The 12th and the 22nd. Ring a bell? Lincoln's and Washington's
birthday. February it is.

Return to Mayberry was broadcast on April 13, 1986, which I remember because it
was my daughter's first birthday. (She had partied hardy and was snoozin' in
her crib.) Now she is a dramatic art student at UNC Chapel Hill, alma mater of
You Know Who, and works in the Playmakers business office part-time and
performs "ever chanct" she gets.

Now, this part I'm telling you because some of you may be in driving distance
. . . she has signed a contract with The Theater at Lime Kiln in Lexington,
Va., to do "Sing Down the Moon," an ensemble musical based on the Jack Tales.
It runs from June 29 through July 30. (Go to www.theateratlimbkiln.com for more
information.)

Rick, yes I would recommend this book. I have 6-7 TAGS related books
and they all have different strengths. The book that you are asking
about is filled with facts. It has the most episode by episode detail
of any of the books I have. There are other books that have more
pictures, but this one has more data and a very good index. It looks
like a textbook and is fact-filled like one.
