Hi - I'm in Florida and my local store didn't have them, but said
they had just come in at a store 50 miles away.
So, it's my feeling that this is brand new as well as being "big,
really big" - so we just need to keep checking with our local stores
as supplies get delivered.

Here is the information that Jewell Kutzer sent to the Digest. Something
happened to the message so I'm re-sending it for her.

Maybe you're looking in the wrong place. Don't look in the jammies section,
look for the TV Land rack of sleep pants. They got lots of different pants
for Twighlight Zone, Gunsmoke, and others. Good luck

Hey, folks, I went to my nearby Wal-Mart today to look for the TAGS pajamas
mentioned on the digest. I didn't find them initially because I was looking in
the men's pajamas section. I finally found them on a big rack to themselves.
They are not actually a pajama set but bottoms only (no shirt). Unfortunately,
out of that whole big rack, there was only *one* pair of TAGS pants, and they
weren't the appropriate size for me! If you are searching Wal-Mart online, you
might try something like "lounge pants" or a similar term. Before my visit to
the store, I, too, tried to search online under "pajamas" and didn't find them.

Hi gang....
The great walmart pj caper is getting confusing, lol. I looked around
the local walmart store and the so called pajamas were all plain. NOW the
question I have, could we actually be talking about what are called
"sleeping pants"? I noticed they had a rack of sleeping pants in various
characters and TV shows etc., but no TAGS. This was in the men's
department. Perhaps those that have found them could be a little more
specific as to where in the store they found them and what they are actually
called. We might just have to hang around the store disquised as a mannequin
and keep an eye out for the mystery garments, :)

BTW, did anyone catch Don's cameo on this year's "TV Land Awards"? There was
a "Desperate Housewives" parody in which classic TV stars took over the roles
(Barbara Eden, Shirley Jones, Joyce DeWitt, Abe Vigoda as the plumber across
the street, and Jerry Mathers as the teenaged gardener). It ended with a man
burying something ominous in his backyard, and as the camera pans down...we
see it's Don Knotts. He says to himself, "Well that ought to nip it...nip it
in
the bud!"

I live in Kingwood, TX. After seeing all the notes on TAGS pj pants, I went to
the nearest Wal Mart in Humble and they had several pair in various sizes. I
am wearing mine as I type this!!! Good luck to you and yours on finding them.

Dan - you can go further on identifying the date with the calendar you saw
on Floyd's wall. Since there were only 28 days, it was not leap year, and
therefore not 1960, 1964 or 1968 (TAGS Years). If you can tell what days of the
week the 12th and 22nd fell upon, then you can narrow down the year even more.
The script, however, shows inconcsistency with this. (Not unusual) In "The
Punch in the Nose" Barney plainly yells out (I think) August 9, 1945. Later
Andy says "this happened 19 years ago. It happened during Sheriff Poindexter's
term." This would imply the year was 1964. However, that could not be since
1964 was a leap year and February would have had 29 days.
Of course, the script and reality often differ. Anyway, I better get the
bucket off my head and do some more work.
