I'm not sure myself. Amazon also says it's color, but other sites like
dvd.ciao.co.uk, dvdtown.com, and moviesunlimited.com indicate it is B/W. They
all indicate it is widescreen.

A FACE IN THE CROWD is not in color. The DVD presents the film in its
original, theatrical, B&W, widescreen glory.
Advance online reviews (do a Google search, and you'll find many) on the
DVD's quality are excellent. "Entertainment Weekly" also gives it a top
grade.
The DVD includes a documentary on the film's production, with new interview
footage of Andy Griffith and Patricia Neal.

OK, I have gotten some of the details for the celebration honoring Don
Knotts that Morganton, WV is holding in August.
First, we'll have the drum and bugle corps welcome the guest of honor at the
Court House. Then the Mayor will present the key to the city. Then Barney
will drive the squad car to lead the parade escorting the guest of honor to
the hotel...............no, wait, that's not going to work..............
