Ellie, Helen & Gloria
Ellie was more fun it seemed than Helen. In my mind Helen was more attractive
than Ellie.
But
Gloria (jan shutan) from the episode "Guest In The House" had them both beat in
both departments and Andy should have latched on to her.

Thank You Allan!
I LOVE this site because it brings happy thoughts & can really help to
take our minds off of other not so pleasant things we might be dealing with.
That's why I love "the rules", & laugh every time we have to be reminded of
them because I see & hear Barney & all his efforts to keep order at THE ROCK. I
love all the points the trained noticers bring up about different things on
the dvds. Also, I got my shipment from Weavers & am making my own fashion
statement in my boxers, tee shirts & lounge pants! These are better quality
than I
expected...they are a really nice fabric & very comfortable & are helping me
survive this hazy, hot & humid heat wave we are having in Jersey. Thank You
Weavers! I love, love, love that I can buy a hundred dollars worth of fabulous
tags stuff & only pay $5.00 shipping. That's a Mayberry bargain!!!! A happy
Summer to you all!
God Bless!

Bee)

Did you ever notice the kneepads that Barney is wearing when he comes
sneaking around the counter? I guess they keep them in the trunk of the
squad car with the starting pistol and fishing poles and such :-)

This prank was actually pulled on Barney by the "loafers" in front of
the courthouse. And it just so happens that there is a tie in with the
Marx Brothers movie "Duck Soup."
I hadn't seen this movie in years and noticed it was coming on so I
tuned in. Much to my surprise when they called for Rufus T. Firefly's
(Groucho's character) car it was Harpo riding a motorcycle with a
sidecar. When Groucho gets in the sidecar, Harpo takes off and the side
car is left standing alone. Just like when they did it in Mayberry.
Except, I must admit, I laughed harder when Andy and Barney did this.
They say imitation is the purest form of flattery. I guess someone on
TAGS liked the Marx Brothers.

PS Thanks Allan for posting the rules again. I felt like we were
drifting too. Now y'all act like somebody.

When I find my mind wandering from the lovely thoughts of Mayberry, here are a
few things I do to get back my Mayberry mindset. Here are a few suggestions
to try out.
1. Leonard Blush, Leonard Blush. For awhile, all I'll think about is Leonard
Blush.
2. Make a pan of cashew fudge, but watch a TAGS tape instead of a doctor
program.
3. Look for opportunities to make a Citizen's Arrest.
4. Drop in at a service station for a cold drink.
5. Smile and nod at everyone you can.
Anyone else do this or something similar?

PS: I've looked around Wylie. Somewhere in town there's got to be a
historical marker indicating the site of Mrs Wiley's first matchmaking home.

I just got this info from DVD on TV website.
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=3523
It has the new artwork for the season 3 release. It also looks like they will
be selling season 1-3 all in one set as well. TAGS must be really selling for
them to do that. Who Hoo!
Did anyone else think it was strange that on the season 2 set on disc 3 they
have a picture of Warren in the menu screen. Curious!

The artwork for the season three TAGS dvd is now
available at the following link. Apparently, they
will be releasing the single dvd set for season 3 AND
a multiple dvd set containing seasons 1-3 for anyone
who is still waiting to "jump in where you can"!.

I would:
1.) Go to the post office, get a money order and view the wanted posters of
"master" criminals.
2.) Go to the drug store and get an ice-cream cone.
3.) Read comic books while at the barber shop.

I have not been able to get Season Two yet so was glad when someone posted that
Ellen and Pierre had been married. I hope I can get the dvd's before fall, but
in the meantime am enjoying reading the comments made by those of you who have
them. It's whetting my appetite for more. I wish I had them now because the
forecast is for rain, rain and more rain and my foot is "sprung" so I can't get
out much. Mayberry would be a wonderful escape since I'm feeling kinda gloomy.
I believe I'll stick my Columbia House tapes in and watch some tonight.
Allan, thanks for restating the rules. I'm a "Yankee" by birth and geography,
but in my heart I'm all Mayberry and appreciate the opportunity to have so many
wonderful neighbors who are also Mayberrians.
Now, since we've read some wonderful testimonials about Floyd's, I believe I'll
wander down there and sit under a hot towel for a while. Do you reckon Floyd
would let a female in his chair?
Kind behind the eyes.
Why do you have to be a nonconformist like everybody else?

I know police officers who actually have a pic of Barney hanging in their
lockers.
Makes one feel that we need officers like andy and Barney these days.
Sheriff Hege of Davidson Co. NC. might come close, although he has a more
advanced sheriff's dept than Mayberry had in those days. Course the problems
are different today, then in Mayberry too.
www.hegecountry.com He even mentions Andy in his site.
